Info for you who don’t know water polo
Do you like swimming? But would like to do something different than swimming back and forth? Then water polo might be the thing for you. Water polo is team sport, which requires both a good swimming skills and being able to concentrate under pressure.
During water polo practice you are going to learn to do egg-beater kick, throw a ball and play water polo as part of a team. Our team generally consist of 50/50 Danish/foreigners and the practice will be in English. Practice will generally consist of three parts:
Ball handling exercise
We want to integrate new players as fast as possible and as a new player you will get the advantage of the experienced players on the team. Since water polo is a team sport, we have social activities outside practice. You are welcome to participate in the social activities such as parties and practice weekends. Our team is a mixed team consisting of both male and female players.
You can try the practice out three times, before you decide on signing up.
We look very much forward to seeing you on KSI’s water polo team.
Note: It is required for players that sign up that they are able to swim forward crawl (better known as freestyle) since it is the way to move in water polo. For your own sake, we require that you can swim 25 meter in 30 seconds. If this is too much for you, we suggest one of KSI’s swimming classes. You are very welcome to write a mail to email@example.com if you have any questions about the club.
Info for you who knows water polo and have played it before
We are a team of women and men with different backgrounds in water polo. We play in the second division and hope that you will join in on the matches as well, even though it is not mandatory. We also try to participate in international tournaments. We have played tournaments Germany, Holland an Spain where we have played against teams from all of Europe.
We expect that you take an active part in the club activities and help with different tasks around the club activities. Water polo is of course a team sport, so we also have parties and social activities when we don’t practice.
