Classes in this yoga course are centered around slow movements and exercises that will help you build up strength and relieve tension, so that you can start the weekend with renewed energy. We will begin each class with breathing exercises and movements that aim to slowly awaken your muscles and connective tissue. Classes then move into a series of flowing movements that invite you to bring a connection between your mind, breathing and movements. All classes have a twofold aim. While the first aim is to help you build strength and flexibility, the second aim is to provide you with a sense of how your body and mind can feel aware and rested at the same time. Classes will entail a focus on areas of the body that are prone to feel tense or ache as an effect of sedentary student life. During the course you will also be introduced to mindfulness exercises that may help you to relax when feeling a bit stressed and provide you with physical and mental energy in your everyday life.
