Safety/dress

• Always wear lifejacket (floating device) while doing KSI SUP paddling.

• Always use the Leash (for connection between you and the board).

• At uncertain situations-  e.g. there is a harbour bus making wild waves - be able to do "safety" paddling sitting on your knees.

• SUP-paddlers always have to step aside from commercial trafic and to stick to the sides of the Harbour.

• Winther paddlers have to pass the coldwatertest on order to paddle i November-April (read more in the Tab Freetrain.)

• Wear always wetsuit when paddling unless the water is +20 degress. You can unfortunately due to corona bot n´borrow a wetsuit from KSI. You can buy a wetsuit with KSI discount via usg,dk, at the bottom of the side: Rabatter (Discount)

You are asked to bring

• own wetsuit (can not be borrowed from KSI due to corona).

• bathing suit or shorts / thights and a thin sweat r-shirt to wear under the wetsuit

• neoprene shoes (you can use some extra, worn out sneakers indstead, maybe with wollen socks inside for isolation)

• a hat if it's cold and a cap and sun screen if it's sunny

• towel, shampoo

• plastic botlle with water (can be placed under starps on the board)

• sandwich/snacks for the day (the trainer will bring a drybag for storing it safely

Beware of following safety requirements

•  At SUP trips/courses participants must follow the trainers safety instructions.

• The trainer must make sure that the necessary emergency equipment is available on trips/courses, and that participants have been instructed in the use of the equipment.

• The trainer should make sure they are well informed about local risks and take these into account.

• Trainers and participants must have agreed upon procedures in case of accidents, including communication/signals.

Insurance on SUP trips/courses

Participants are covered by KSI through Idrættens Forsikringer in regards to:

• Search, rescue and repatriation if the above safety precautions are observed (to day it's NOT covered by the Yellow Health Card anymore) 

• Cancellation (if you get an acute injury before a trip)

• Delayed baggage (replacement clothes can be purchased after a certain time)

• Fees for consulting local doctors and clinics: Not covered by Healt cards from other countries

• Local user payment, for example, if visiting a doctor. NOTE: Always bring your Blue EU Health Card for foreign trips.
