Main Season 2019/20

Parkour (starts 17th September)

Where anyone can join!

You can get impressions from the training in this very nice video where you see the class train on different spots in Copenhagen.

We are working with control of body and mind through creative movement in the urban environment. In parkour we focus a lot on personal development, but culture is also rooted in the importance of a strong team spirit, sharing experiences and energi together.

Working with challenges is a big part of parkour. Every class will challenge you motor skills, physique and your creativity. But the specific topic of the day can often focus on mental aspects such as fear, commitment, cooperation and the ability to focus and be present in movement.

Note from 1 September the parcour-team has it's own training place in raw and though surroundings in the KSI Canon Boat House at Holmen and there will be new KSI boxes and rails to train on thanks to a donation from the Nordea Foundation. The team will after training be able to enjoy a "sea bath" and the sauna which can be swithed on/off only by the trainer. The sauna is supported by the DIF/DGI Foreningspulje which also have paid for a brand new boulder section, which the team also can use !

A normal class will typically consist of:

  • a warm-up focusing on social aspects

  • then a technical introduction to specifik movements

  • followed by a mutual exploration

  • problem solving or working with a 'challenge' and

  • at the end of every class there will be a conditioning. Which will include elements of functional training using the environment.

  • The conditioning is always something we do together, helping each other until everyone is through.
