Summer season 2020
Kayak polo in KSI Kayak Department - for everybody
NOTE: You sign up under the condition that you will follow our kayak-corona-rules- please read about it here before signing up!
Kayakpolo is action packed and great fun!
Kayak polo is to play and game on the water with built in intervaltraining for all! However, it is an advantage that you have been in a kayak before, but not a prerequisite. The teaching will be differentiated so both new players and players with more experience will be challenged.
We start out with simple kayak and ball handling so everyone feels safe on the water and from there increase the progression so we're going to play with, inter alia, roll (also known as Eskimo roll), sternturns, nosedips/tackling, passing, shooting, ball handling with a paddle and building up a game in both attack and defense. There will be a lot of matches and fun and the time will fly!
In addition to being quite fun in itself, kayak polo is also a great way to become better at controlling and balancing all other types of kayaks, so if you think there are too few waves and little power in the Copenhagen harobur, kayak polo a good way to sneak a little more action into rowing.
