Main Season 2019/2020
Contemporary dance is a term that covers many different techniques, expressions and approaches to dance.
In this hour we will learn different dance combinations from different genres of modern dance blah. from Flying Low. We will start with a little warming and then move on to more challenging combinations. We strengthen our coordination ability, our agility, our strength, our elegance, our rhythm sense, and our endurance through the various combinations. We will learn to move our bodies in different ways, to isolate parts, to jump, and to make full body movements.
We will work with basic elements from contemporary / modern dance, floorwork, partnering and improvisation. The focus will be on exploring and discovering new movements through both technical and creative exercises.
Getting sweat on your forehead and feeling that it can be a bit hard but at the same time fun is one of the goals in the teaching.
Throughout this process, more difficult and complex dance combinations will be introduced, which will be new movement patterns to learn in the form of new dance combinations, but at the same time there will be time to go deep and become familiar with the various combinations. We will also slowly improve our agility as well as strength and coordination.
